Are your files primarily/all from commercially released recordings ? That is where the databases associated w various software programs would be most helpful. If you have files from live concerts downloaded over the internet the chances of having a particular recording in one of the databases is slim at best.
That being said there are numerous threads on this forum where folks have talked about the inaccuracies of such databases. That does not mean that they should not be used.
