Over the years I started out collecting and ripping MP3 files, and later moved to FLAC. Then I would rip everything into both formats (for convenience of portability and quality at home). Now portable storage density has improved to the point that I am happy with all FLAC, and I am planning to merge my two folders, de-dupe/cull the MP3's, and gradually replace my favorite only-MP3 music with something else.
My question is whether any of you have found a tool which will easily merge, and de-dupe some very large folders of somewhat organized music files? MediaMonkey seems like a good possibility - are there any others you recommend? Thanks!
