You should not be using a min of 8 for this.  If you want 8 of the same mob 
reset in 8 different places then you should be using "reset # mob (vnum) 1 8".  
This will cause 1 mob to be reset to this (satisfying the minimum) and the 
other 7 resets of this mob will satisfy the maximum.  If however you do not do 
8 resets in different places for this mob then what you will end up with one of 
them resetting twice to satisfy the maximum.  Sometimes this is desired, hence 
why the option exists.  A max per room variable wouldn't help you at all on 
wandering mobs as you would end up trying to satisfy the max per room and would 
end up cloning your mobs a ton.

     When you set the min and max values on a MOB reset, thats how many MOBs 
can be in the area...so if you want 8 MOBs of that kind...constantly 8...you 
type in 8 different rooms 'reset 1 mob 400 8 8'.  Well, the MUD usually, 
instead of putting 1 mob in each of the eight rooms, during auto resets, puts 
two or three MOBs in one room, and then there are some that don't get a reset 
MOB.  This is not too terrible if they are wandering MOBs, but when you're 
making sentinel guards this is not a good thing.  I was thinking of a way to 
fix this, and I determined that I could not make the MIN/MAX values calculate 
on a room basis, because with wandering MOBs you'd get too many...so I was 
thinking of adding another field maybe: max per room.  Trouble is, I've only 
been coding for about 6 months, and I might be able to do it, but I'd rather 
not try and go into the OLC code without an idea of how I'm going to do 
it...especially because I need some way to convert the old resets to the new 
reset form.  If anyone has any ideas on how I might do this (or how I might 
solve it in a different manner), I'd greatly appreciate to hear from you.
