Looking at this bug

I found that indeed, when you import a file which has less than 64 tracks, you 
get into a situation where the track "buttons" on the left side of the canvas 
are shorter than the canvas, so it's possible to vertically scroll the canvas 
past the track buttons.

Currently the segment canvas ensures that the vertical space for at least 64 
tracks is reserved, no matter how many tracks there actually are in the 
composition, hence the problem above (the canvas can be taller than the track 
buttons). I'm very tempted to enforce this at the composition level, i.e. no 
composition can have less than 64 tracks. The reason being that importing a 
file with just a couple of tracks would otherwise result in a ridiculously 
short window. The first thing you would do would be to add tracks, so why not 
have them there from the start ?
