The problem is that for each OS you must create a development
environment, and that might be doable -with open source- for OS X,
however I'm not sure whether the Win32 port allows for compiling with
GCC.
It's always been compiled with GCC.
P.S. Has anyone created a makefile to build RPCEmu on Cygwin.
If so I'd love to have a look at and would see if I could get
it working and added to the RPCEmu development.
I think Jan Rinze did, I've never used it as I use Ming/W instead of
Cygwin.

Correct, i have used cygwin but it must be noted that MingW is much
more like the MS visualC env.
With Cygwin you will need adaptations in the sourcecode to make it
compile properly.
The cygwin environment is more like a Linux environment with MS
additions.
Unless you need things that only Cygwin can provide you are better off
compiling with MingW.
Best regards,
Jan Rinze.
