Thanks to everyone for their help but I can't quote back your messages as some of them are on another machine.
As advised I did modify the !Run from sparkplug to prevent the system error. The rest of the code in there suggests that it needs many thing from system but in reality you guys were correct and it worked fine. I was then able to setup a !Boot on ADFS4 and I was impressed to say the least. There is one odd thing and that is that the shift key appears to work in reverse so pressing it gives lower case and that is with the caps lock off. I then got too confident and went for the networking. Oh dear. Did everything step by step and it all looked good until the reboot of RISC OS. It now hangs at the SetUpNet section of the boot and nothing will prevent this. I've tried shift booting but no effect so it looks to me as though if you break the boot sequence there is no way back. It seems I have to start all over again with building HD4.
