You need to *unplug AppleTalk and, in !Boot.Resources.!Internet.!Run ,
comment out line 48 in which rmensures AppleTalk.

When this happened to me, I was told tha shift booting does work - but
you have to be very quick. Too quick for me, though!

I guess so. Next time, before enabling networking, try making a copy of
Program files\RPCEmu so that, if something screws up, you can revert to
a working installation.
