Description:
MakeMKV is a toolkit for decrypting and transcoding DVD, HD DVD, and Blu-ray
discs to MKV files. It can integrate with libbluray to allow video players
(VLC, MPV) to play discs with bus encryption (e.g., Ultra HD Blu-ray).
Notes:
- There is a previous (stalled) review: #6891
- This package is not eligible for inclusion in Fedora because it depends on a
proprietary component (makemkvcon / sdftool, packaged as makemkv-bin)
- This package vendors various libraries (e.g., libmatroska and libebml).
Patching the build to link to system versions might be possible, but it would
definitely be unsupported by upstream.
- This is my first RPM Fusion package, and I am seeking a sponsor. :-)
