FWIW I have been running MythTV master wth 'el7' for many months,
building rpms with mock on a Fedora 32 box and using a slightly

KDE in el7 requires a specific version of libvpx which is
incompatible
with MythTV, so my build has libvpx disabled.
that is our problem why mythtv 29 we can enable libvpx and in 30, 31
don't ?
The build also now
requires a non-standard kernel (I use elrepo) and uses some other
repos
providing extensions to the standard el7.
I see Gary has replied already, but...
It's a long time since I built for el7 with libvpx. The build was ok
but wanted to remove most of KDE before installation. See the
kde-fedora list around 21 Sep 2018 :-)
That build was done with a copr version of libvpx. Here's the current
mock configuration, showing the other hoops that have to be jumped now -
with probably more being needed as time goes on... As noted above, I
have had to replace the broken kernel link.
