No, this is just notational, for if you would use URLs as you are used to from Alpine, *i think*, as never used it for real. (It is on the list of things to implement for v14.10, being able to put anything in URLs. I did not forget about that.) No it really seems i steered the MUA to a dead-end here, which is all good for POP (still not works though enabled) and IMAP, but for SMTP we really have an unsolvable problem, the way we do it. I have not looked, i think other MUAs just take the from=, everything else seems non-automatable; I in turn will hack in something that looks for U@H, and if H is the same H as we go for aka have @H@H, we strip one of them. Should be sufficient. I will patch this back to [master], but, since it is broken since when, you say 2014?, painful. No new release. (And if, no backports on Ubuntu anyhow. No easy help, code change needed.) |> Well i never used anything Microsoftish since 1999 | |I have managed to avoid it too, up to now. | |I have another question, nothing to do with Microsoft. Is there a way |to get the line editor to wrap, rather than shifting the beginning of |the line off the screen to the left? Some termcap setting perhaps? No -- that requires vertical movement (and line management) as such. Very far down the list. But on the devel branch there is a new line-editor-config= variable, i have set line-editor-config=quote-rndtrip,srch-case,srch-pos0,srch-regex And that srch-pos0 will move the cursor to the beginning of the line when the line does not fit on the screen when moving around the history, for example i have bind base :kcuu1 mle-hist-bwd bind base :kcud1 mle-hist-fwd and now when i cursor-up/down and a history entry does not fit on the screen i can see the first couple of words rather than the last, which i deemed to be a tremendous improvement, having some long history entries with equal "tail". (srch-pos0 is possibly the wrong name as it works for the mentioned, though.) As this will be of at least a little help for you, you could already "set line-editor-config=srch-pos0" as of today, we will pick you up many years from now :-) (No worries, it complains: "s-nail: *line-editor-config*: unsupported keyword: bla".)
