Walthers recently released a series of short heavyweights which are based on C&NW cars IIRC. The full-length Rivarossi passenger cars have been available for years in HO, so both options were present even before the recent spate of prototypical cars. The problem in S is not only are the AF turnouts tight radius (tighter than most HO snaptrack turnouts) but also have the big housing on the side which longer cars hangup on. AH HA... now we're on to something... we should upgrade the quality of the AF turnouts, NOT downgrade the length (or quality) of cars! But I already know that such a suggestion is probably sacreligious.
