I am trying to use NorthWest Short Line brass wheelsets (#37757-4) in Ace
unsprung Bettendorf trucks. The wheelsets are great, but.... the Ace axles are
1.310 in. long, while the NWSL axles are 1.265 in. long. The NWSL wheelsets
fit, but the shorter length makes them very sloppy.
The fix that occurs to me is to narrow the trucks, but it is not clear how to
do this. So, would those of you who have overcome this problem tell me what you
did?
