Lance, I haven't had to deal with this problem yet, but I have several Ace Arch-bar trucks that will eventually get re-wheeled, so will have to do so later. I suggest filing the ends of the bolster. You need to account for 0.045" in length, which amounts to 0.0225" removed from each bolster end. If you have a dial caliper this should be a piece of cake. If not, file equal amounts from both ends until one bolster is shorter that the other by, oh, roughly the thickness of a matchbook cover. Of course you have to be careful to keep the bolster ends square to the bolster. Check the wheels for fit, and duplicate with the other truck.
Good luck, and good rollin'. The wheelsets are great, but.... the Ace axles are 1.310 in. long, while the NWSL axles are 1.265 in. long. The NWSL wheelsets fit, but the shorter length makes them very sloppy. > > The fix that occurs to me is to narrow the trucks, but it is not clear how to do this.
