I've got the plastic spacers and my code 110 wheel sets are still sloppy
- they picked one of the frogs on my double curved diamond. All other
trucks sailed right through. My solution was to find the right sized
brass washer (Walthers makes them I think - I can't remember the exact
size) and inserted them on one or both ends of the axle depending upon
slop. Worked like a charm. I think the same solution could work if you
used enough washers. Filing and epoxy seem like pretty approximate or
difficult solutions to execute well.
