Thanks Stan,  those brochures give a better picture of the time these 
were placed into service. The 57' date surprised me--I was assuming a 
mid 60's start date.  I also had been spelling it "hydro" rather than 
"hydra".  I couldn't understand how water might be involved as it 
doesn't compress easily! thus my curiosity. 

This also brings up my only bone with the DesPlains cars--they are 
sealed like Fort Knox!  It would be nice to get into them for a look 
around to see what else they could be used for.  For instance maybe use 
the floor for the PacRail cars!!
