My Excel file has most info about rolling stock you would want, except that
there is no provision for changing a Location except by manual update. I do
list the box number, which level in that box, and which shelf it is on in most
cases, but tracking locations on a layout could be a whole different ball game
if you try to do it an any way but hand-typed entries being updated as cars
were moved. You're looking at a system of electronic identifiers on each car,
each location, etc., similar to the ACI of the 1970s on the 1:1 roads, or a
newer method of continuous automatic update. Wow.

  Subject: {S-Scale List} Systems inquirey

Anyone out there keep track of all their equipment?
I have [old] card system that helps me manually keep track of where all of my
cars and trains are on the layout.

Anyone out there have a software system that keeps track of all the
equipment, runs trains and can tell where every car is on their layout?
  And so on ...........
  Can anyone recommend such software?
