I spent quite some time studying the various car forwarding schemes.  I finally
settled on RailOp  http://www.railop.com/  .  I found it to be the most user
freindly and flexible system for the kind of operation I enjoy.  It doubles
as inventory software, since you need to input all car and locomotive
information.

Anyone out there keep track of all their equipment?
I have [old] card system that helps me manually keep track of where all of my
cars and trains are on the layout.

Anyone out there have a software system that keeps track of all the equipment,
runs trains and can tell where every car is on their layout?
And so on ...........
Can anyone recommend such software?
