I have a 2240 in SW-1 #22. Since that locomotive is sidelined for heavy
repairs, I thought about taking the motor for the GP-9. The 2236 has been
laying around waiting for me to complete the LW SW-8 which is still in pieces
(not sure if that will ever happen as time goes on).

I also have a single ended can motor a dentist gave me a long time ago that I
thought about using in the SW-1. It might be a better candidate for the SW-8.

Long story short, I'm going to order one of those AM flat cans for the GP-9.
