Hi Carey; You don't need to count rivets to see this is a different car from anything else on the layout! Much more so that a pair of AM cars on different paint schemes.
That said, anybody may have reasons they can't buy. I've missed thingsI wanted because it didn't fit the budget. But 90% of the group? Pieter- about to board the "T" to South Station. Price - As a scaler but not a rivet counter, I don't need all the super details that add to the costs. I do both hi-rail and scale and adhere to the close enough is good enough. My guess is that few of us are rivet counters but I may be wrong. Personally I would rather have 2 AM cars I really want for the same price. 2. Car is not on my list of must haves or even want to haves. Nice car but see #1. If it were really a car I wanted badly that would be different. Jim does fantastic work but so far nothing in my Got to have list. Carey Carey Probst Member, M.I.T. If you really want this car, you all really need to talk it up to your friends who are not on the list. Why we can't get even 10% of the members to buy into anything remains somewhat of a mystery. It wouldn't need a lot of detail. Not sure about coupler clearance on the end. Easy first time urethane casting project for someone.
