Agreed, but the key to my argument was the last sentence. "Cars I really 
want". If it were a car I really wanted then I would pay for the extras 
for the details but to me this is just another car, interesting but not 
in my need to have list or even my nice to have list or even my I know 
what that car is list. Some of Jim's earlier cars I would like to have 
but that isn't an option since there is apparently no stock available 
since they are subscription runs.

I am curious though. Once the tooling is all done and the first batch 
have been run is it reasonable to ask for additional units or is it cost 
prohibitive to set up for a short run even if the dies are still available?

I'm sure based on the response that I am not the only one who really 
doesn't care about the SAL car.

The other issue I didn't mention is timing. I'm sure that in this 
economy I'm not the only one who has to save for a model and can't just 
write a check on a moments notice, even for a relatively small amount 
like this. I understand the need for deadlines but sometimes they can't 
be met.
