Bob Anson's suggestion of lighter fluid may be the least-invasive solvent.
Anyone who needs a solvent for such general purposes
could go to a paint store and buy a quart of naphtha, the principal ingredient
in fluid. In fact, I bought a quart also to refuel my
pipe lighter, and it works fine for that.
Do you mean you need to replace the bulb? That can happen--I found the
headlight on an SW-9 had burned out--but if you mean
you are using the SHS retrofit with correct early headlights and the warmer
color LED's, I wish you joy, as I did it with one and was
well-satisfied with the result, but when I came to do it again for another SHS
SW-1, the installation has given me no end of trouble.
