Good morning!

An excellent modeler some years ago showed me how to extract those delicate
parts on a PRS spru.

    1)  Using Zuron clippers, nip off all vertical injection points.
    2)  Then carefully cut off each corner of the surrounding spru leaving a
slender sliver
holdings holding the spru sides together.  CONSTANTLY CLEAR SCRAP!
    3)  Then clip through each sliver carefully.
    4)  Carefully clip away spru material near the anchor points for each part.
Note:
Use your Xuron cutter to carefully reach into parts and nip their
attachment points
using the curved inside of the cutter against the round of the spu to
release the part.
    5)  Then slowly clip the parts in a methodical fashion removing parts
slowly
working your way into the center of the spru.
6.. Make sure you work over a white surface, so small parts do not get lost.

According to this expert modeler, it is all about relieving 'tension' in
plastic that casuses deflection and therefore breakage in the delicate parts.
His comment is S is far  easier to work with than HO!

When necessary, I've used an On3 brake rod and clevis set from Grandt.

They make it in plastic and brass. They are beautifully done to the

point where you can see the cotter pins holding the clevis to the rod.
