John: Haven't read all the replies to your question, but isolating the frogs on Shinohara turnouts, or any other solid frog turnout, is NOT necessary.
What IS necessary is to make sure your electrical feeder wires are connected to the OUTSIDE rails (sometimes referred to as "ahead of the points") of the switch. After all, I designed these switches, and took the usual barrage of "higher criticism" flak from the experts for my efforts.
