Friends,
I've added a couple of new photos to my album, PhotoTraxx. One is of a
scene that even I don't see very often. It's the back side of my main
yard which includes my Leigh Valley cement plant and typically several
warehouse buildings. Many for the buildings were removed for a little
track work, so I staged that scene. In the next night or two all the
buildings will likely go back in position for a long time--as I don't
like doing track work in that area.
The second photo is of a scratchbilt floor that one of our prior members
made up for himself. He passed over 10 years ago and as I was going
through some things I came across it. It's really just a substitute for
an American Models boxcar floor, but it you look at it you'll see some
masterful work. Fred Little was primarily into O, but liked our little
group (image that!). Fred had worked as a tool maker for Hughes at one
time, drove a motorcycle way beyond his graying years and loved to
harass a local hobby shop owner!!
Anyway I think he either cast, filed, milled or turned all the parts you
see including the steel floor. I'm not certain how it will do with
magnetic ramps, but it certainly is a work of metal art.
