I guess this goes to prove that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder... 
because I don't see Lionel's O scale stuff as being as "nice" as some folks do. 
 The non-scale wheels aren't the big issue in my book... those awful 
pivoting-pilots are.  If they take a hint from SHS (and Atlas?) and make that 
grossly-detracting feature an OPTION, then I might be able to justify 
purchasing something from them.

     If Lionel decides to take flyer seriously and build S models as nice as 
their O scale stuff we'll be very happy campers. The O stuff just needs new 
scale wheels to turn a toy into a very nice model equal to some of the finest O 
stuff. If Lionel builds new S stuff to the same high standard I'll buy lots but 
if they just build more flyer toy stuff I'll buy none and I suspect most scale
