Hi Bob and all ---
The RMC inside front page ads are there because one of the NASG’s mandates
is to promote the scale. They are also there because of some very hard
work by Greg Klein and his committee to secure PAYING advertisers and to
make the ad page more attractive and interesting. Carstens has also bent
over backwards to accommodate the vacillations of the NASG management and to
keep the cost low, relatively speaking. We should be glad that we have
folks like that willing to stick their collective necks out to keep us
within view of the rest of the modeling world. I hope the advertisers are
seeing some positive results, but the good side is that the NASG can do this
with out bankrupting itself. You will also note that S advertisers not
directly in the ad are also benefitting by a reference to their separate ads
within the magazine.
A personal observation is that RMC has greatly improved its production
quality and certainly has eclipsed MR in content. I hope the group is
supporting their efforts!
Happy New Year!

It has to be up to the NASG and/or our group of manufacturers to promote
to the masses by casting a big net.... IMO, the RMC
ads are a mixed bag mainly because I haven't heard from anybody in that
ad grouping--do they have a way of tracking results? are they selling
stuff? Has anybody switched to S because of the products offered there?
