Everyone should have a track/wheel gage in order to determine two things at a
minimum: Is the turnout correctly built? Are wheels properly gauged? Without
some assurance things are proper, problems will result -- sooner or later.
Even expensive brass imports and mass produced plastic locos sometimes have
wheels out of gauge. Many turnouts also are out of gauge at times. Measure
and know. Do not assume. Ed L.
