Keith:

As a matter of info, I don't have any"decoders" as such, having spent enough
throttle time on an Alco S-2 that I remember very well what they sound like.

I don't know what the lifespan of contact cement is, but where I used it to
hold my turntable bridge rails in place, it is beginning to fail. I always
wanted to do this project the right way eventually, anyway, and I will try to
keep a photo record of my progress. Some of my skills have improved over the
years, I hope!

I am considering posting the photos in the "Photos" section of this list, to
make sure the material gets out there when I want it to. I have too many
articles submitted out there that have never been published or returned as
unsatisfactory leaving me in limbo as to whether I can re-submit them
elsewhere, in spite of cries for fresh material.

More on this as time goes on. Right now, my major focus is finding my
workbench, which is buried under the debris of projects past.

Don't let Jamie pull your leg - string works, when nothing else will!
