This sounds interesting, I have heard of some flyer engs. being plated as they were to be used as a special presentation to someone like suppliers & other contractors. Can you post a picture ? ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, December 31, 2002 3:04 PM Subject: [S-Trains] (no subject)
OK SO IF EVERY BODY HAS THERE TRAINS FIGURED OUT THEN TELL ME WHAT WAS AND WHAT IS THE REASONING BEHIND THE NICKEL PLATING ON MY ENGINE. THAT WAS PAINTED AND THE PAINT RECEIVED A BIT OF MOISTURE WHILE IN STORAGE. Causing THE PAINT TO FLAKE OFF SO I TOOK ALL OF THE PARTS OF THE ENGINE AND THEN CLEANED WITH MILD SOAP AND WARM WATER AND THE MORE I SCRUBBED THE MORE I GOT A NICKEL PLATED ENGINE SO NOW IT IS a VERY CLEAN NICKEL PLATED 322 OR A 326 BUT NICKEL. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS MYSTERY !!!!
