This sounds  interesting, I have heard of some flyer engs. being plated as
they were to be used as a special presentation to someone like suppliers &
other contractors. Can you post a picture ?

OK SO IF EVERY BODY HAS THERE TRAINS FIGURED OUT THEN TELL ME WHAT WAS AND
WHAT IS THE REASONING BEHIND THE NICKEL PLATING ON MY ENGINE.  THAT WAS
PAINTED AND THE PAINT RECEIVED A BIT OF MOISTURE WHILE IN STORAGE.  Causing
THE PAINT TO FLAKE OFF  SO I TOOK ALL OF THE PARTS OF THE ENGINE AND THEN
CLEANED WITH MILD SOAP AND WARM WATER AND THE MORE I SCRUBBED THE MORE I GOT
A NICKEL PLATED ENGINE SO NOW IT IS a VERY CLEAN NICKEL PLATED   322 OR A
326
  BUT NICKEL.   I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS MYSTERY !!!! YOUR HELP IS
