Far from being the rivet counter you implied that I might be (you were clearly addressing me at that point), if something on my layout isn't to scale I admit it (my alibi for Bossy the Bovine notwithstanding) and fess up to the discrepancy. I try to avoid clouding terminology. It's hard enough making a point understood with language (apparently) as it is. And the point is this: The statement was made that Lionel truck trailers are "proven beyond all doubt" to be 1/64th scale. In fact, what has been proven is the opposite. Fairly near 1/64th, yes. But this ain't horseshoes. That's about as clear as I can make it. Now, if y'all will excuse me, I'm going to "cut some pie", which is hi-railer talk for playing with trains. Chuck F.
