Neglected to mention: Though the previous discussion centered on Lionel's trailers, I should point out that the highway tractors (cabs) that Lionel sells ARE 1/64th scale, except for a slight widening of the rear wheel base, probably blend better with the (too wide) trailers. The sleeper section of the cab is 8' 3" wide in 1/64 scale, a very realistic figure. With a little work, the rear wheels could be adjusted to conform to the proper 1/64 scale width.
The cabs are cast from what seems to be old Shinsei tooling. I have a couple of Shinsei trucks that have cabs identical to Lionel's, except that the Lionel versions do not have separate headlights.
