It seems like Lionel will make just the powered Seaboard Baldwin switcher. Since American Flyer made the Seaboards in powered and dummy sets, you have to wonder if Lionel will make a dummy Seaboard later on.
It will be interesting to see which Santa Fe scheme they will make - blue and yellow or zebra stripes. There is little Lionel AF that I ever owned or want to own, but it might be worth owning a Baldwin that runs well. A few years back, I converted an original AF T&P to DC, and of course it runs much better. You can actually switch with it. Does anybody want to guess what the steam locomotive will be? I would say that it's a 100% chance of being something AF produced, and my top guess would be the CNW 4-6-2, since they mention two road names and it's rather generic looking. Next would be the Hudson, with the Atlantic as third choice, and 0-6-0T Dockside as fourth choice. (It would be nice to see a smooth running 0-6-0T, too.) What if they make a Casey Jones - would anybody buy any of those? Mike Vana Omaha, NE. S-Trains list sponsor: http://www.americanflyertrains.com All the Flyer you desire...books and accessories too!
