Chuck, there is much I do not like about the operation of Flyonel (they could 
stand having fly wheels among other things) , but I have found them to be 
very dependable and to pull long trains for extended stretches of time with 
no problems. The only true "dogs" that I know of are the Erie PAs. In fact, I 
have had more problems with one sample of a diesel from your favorite brand 
(to go unmentioned <grin> but now resolved) than with all of my Flyonel 
combined. A good Flyer buddy here in Midland has run Flyonel engines for 
extended periods with no failures either. 

Again, much could be done to improve the Lionel Flyer line, but pulling power 
and chronic field failures are not among them.
