I would just mention that macOS users who have homebrew can install Sage by 
typing one command:
$ brew install sage
and macOS users who do not have homebrew can install Sage by downloading a 
disk image and dragging the SageMath app into their Application folder.  
Both operations install the identical software and both produce a sage that 
works and will remain working and that is the most recently released 
version of sage.

This is true with the current configuration of Sage.
