Yes, apparently I had too heavy a load on the machine; I restarted
make and it did fine, then the same thing happened in libsingular, I
restarted make, all was well.  Currently building all the Sage Cython
libraries, no more problems.  Sorry for the noise (hopefully that's
all it was).
