*.egg is not and old artefact, it comes from this build. What I meant for 
"classical" is:

   - I made an incremental build, not starting from the beginning.
   - I used the order make.
   - All this process is done as a regular user, not as root, and without 
   using sudo

The jupyter kernel as a folder sagemath is then installed in 
.local/share/jupyter/kernel of the user home. If I run sage -n jupyterlab 
with this user, it is OK. If I run from jupyter lab I get the error of the 
previous message. For a personal installation is OK, but I find useful in 
general to use sage in a system jupyter installation (which was possible at 
least till 10.8beta0).
