I am using two different cellphones on two installations of Servers Alive. The first is a Sony Ericsson F500 using a serial cable while the other is a Sony Ericsson K300 using a serial cable. The first one is using 8N1 at 19200 baud while the other is 7E1 at 19200 baud.   The only problems I have had is that sometimes SA loses the modem and gives a 201 error but we got around that by writing an application which checks the log file, if it finds the error it stops SA deletes the logfile and restarts SA.
