my SMSC number is 447785016005 (no +)
 
AT+C for protocol
 
 
I do seem to have probs using +44 format of numbers

I saw your post and got interested.
 
I have connected a Nokia 9110 and installed the faxmodem driver, but I can not get SMS to work.
 
Any tips on how you did yours?

I used to use winsms. It worked well.
 
However I now use the sms feature in SA. One less thing to go wrong.
 
I have a nokia 7110 phone (£20 off ebay) with a serial cable that cost about £5
