Defender seems to be OK now, not that I've changed anything. Maybe I had
about 20 other windows in the background slowing things down? I can't
remember now...
As for Lemmings, well, that's one of the great mysteries of life...but

That's still strange, as it should still work fine zipped or gzipped,
using the ZLIB.DLL from the original SimCoupé download.

Er, it's alright on mine guv! Do the on-screen stats show the emulation
speed dropping just after the pause? Just wondering about background
apps interfering in some way.
