Steffen,

Do you want to say that someone will pay $100+ per hour support on a product which
costs $99 ?
Or do you know of anybody qualified that will do it for free? Or do you want to tell
me you want to do it? and make a raking with Tod's work. If that's the case, nice try.

The way you mention "one guy" software is a total lack of respect, especially coming
from a guy who runs a so called "Sambar Support Site".
Its a known issue that Sambar users are a civilized bunch willign to help - AFTEr
someone makes an effort to get things going on his own. Nobody is going to write the
daily step-by-step every time the same question shows up 104 times a year - and for
free, get me?

Although I don't always agree with you I've admired the work you have put in you site
and that you have found such a bunch of willing ppl to help you with the support
questions but I must say you are loosing it now.

If you don't accept the way Sambar Server is packaged just plain shut your trap, use
something else and stop playing against two fronts.

If open source is better - go there - stay there and spare us the noise. What you are
doing right now is worse than any bug the software could have: Telling a potential
customer that what he may be paying for is basically trash.

There are LOTS of susbcribed users (both lsist) that may have not paid for Sambar yet
- using e proxy only or the HTTP section and yet contribute a lot by just being in the
list, listening and learning, and suddenly like today, we hear a few new voices with
what may be valuable information.
What will these ppls think of a us all when one of the guys that runs a Sambar Support
site gives them a slap by INDIRECTLY saying that they should look into open source aka
Apache, Tux, etc, etc.

No Sir, I don't think Tod nor anybody who invests a lot of free time in helping him
(some have been around with Tod way before you or I even heard of Sambar) can even TRY
to relate to your attitude.

Just find it plain shameful.

Too bad I believe in free speech, otherwise I'd kick you out of the lists but only one
person can ask me to do that and its Tod.

I don't expect, require or want an answer from you, its enough if you change your
attitude and maybe write a msg of apology to Tod. Its not us you hurt with such dumb
comments, its yourself and Tod. If you can show any real manhood and can admit you've
made a mistake, you'll act the right way and think things over.

END OF THREAD

Alex
