Yes, you are totally correct about that (and thank you for your response). The item is not being detracted from the stock level after a purchase. I'm in a PayPal Sanboxed environment so I not sure if that would be the issue. Regardless, after PayPal purchase, an item is suppose to be detracted from the stock level? This was my guess as well but I wasn't 100% on it.
I have not altered the PayPal module in any way.
