Follow-up Comment #8, bugs #2122 (project savane): Hum, I lost my wonderful comment: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101961
So, I was saying in my non-posted comment: - see the attached screenshot, nothing looks ridiculously huge to me - does the following looks ridiculously huge to you http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100805 - gforge and sf.net have, like savane, the same cheesy code as origin (no offense to original developers but the CVS history of Savane shows they made absolutely all programming mistake that can be done in PHP; well, it helped me to learn PHP with this wonderful bible of things that should be avoided at any cost; the interest of the original sourceforge code was to exist, nothing else). So it is no surprise if they can share some design mistake (the same goes for Savane). But if typing `echo blabla` was still inserting blabla in followed comments (real!) in both these place, it would not makes it good If Savane looks ridiculously huge, you probably configured your browse by assuming most site will choose to abuse of the smaller size possibility. I think bugzilla at KDE is a good example of good pratice: smaller for the menu (like at Gna in fact), normal size for the content... That's the only way to give user something they should be expecting for. Any other way is based on badly grounded assumption. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://gna.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=2122> _______________________________________________ Message post via/par Gna! http://gna.org/ _______________________________________________ Savane-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/savane-dev
