Follow-up Comment #3, sr #711 (project savane): Well, I just did a totally clean install, using Savane 1.1, following the documentation very carefully as much as I am able to follow it, and even had help from a professional system administrator very familiar with my OS (Fedora Core 4), and all of the problems I reported in #711 and #712 are still present, plus new ones. For example, I cannot get any options at all to appear under `This Group Active Features` for my default admin group after changing the default Group Type to enable them, and none of them are present by default (i.e., I don't even have the admin group's Support Tracker showing pending group approvals; at least I did have that much functionality under Savane 1.0.7.)
New tasks/bugs create appear as blank ones that have reverted to all of their defaults and lost their Summary. Cannot edit existing tasks; when form is submitted, it all resets to what it was before. Active Features options do show up for the test project I created under a new group type, but Bugs Tracker is still off despite the Group Type saying to make it available, and it is impossible to turn on). Cannot make any changes to Active Features for any group; when form is submitted, it all resets to what it was before (the defaults derived from the Group Type, minus the Bugs Tracker). Something is seriously wrong here... And I still cannot make any sense of the various paths and stuff on the Group Type page. What are these things for?? What purpose do such fields serve when Savane just handles this stuff automatically (or is apparently supposed to anyway), e.g. by creating http://savane.MYSERVER.com/cvs/?group=GROUPNAME by default? I've spent all day trying to get even the basic real functionality of Savane 1.1 to work, after spending 3 days trying to get Savane 1.0.7 to work, and spent a lot of time carefully reporting everywhere I can think the documentation needs work so that savane-doc can be better.
