First, check your group type setup. There are good chances that by
configuration you are not allow to turn on trackers, because the group type
was created while your PHP conf was pushing empty values everywhere.
Check first your group type, as admin.
"PS: Is your locally installed Savane no longer \-escaping quotes in the
Comment/Original Submission fields? Test:
'quote1'"
Please :) Such bug dramatic bug would have been fixed later if it was
happening on every cases.
This bug is not fixed but happens only in rare cases, when you add
dependancies to items, for instance.
I'm updating the docs regarding PHP5.
