Ok, seems like I was too optimistic.
Even though my fix works with the test script, radiopi keeps crashing with
it:

So, thanks for insisting, we really ought to fix this in smart..
Now for the eeepc part, they asked me for a copy of ID and a proof of
where I live, "to protect me against fraudulous usage of my credit
card"...
I told them they can go fuck themselves before I send it, so I guess it's
not for now... :)
