I am reminded of Stephen King's book "On Writing" in which he recalls
receiving a personal lecture from an English professor about why Stephen
King would never amount to anything as a writer. Of course, King already
possessed far more practical skill than his professor, despite his alleged
lack of erudition.

Naturally, I am comparing apples and oranges, and all other things are not
equal.
