I couldn't tell if he was hit in the face with the mace or not. If you spray pepper spray in an enclosed area like a car with the windows up. Everyone in the car will be affected. (an idiot coworker did it once in a small room and it took 2 hours for it to clear)
They are playing with the realities a lot on this show. If you move a dead body out of a car there will be a lot more left over than an empty car.
