Adrianne, I can't agree with you in saying that the storyline was "an
incoherent mess". It made sense to me, but that might have been me filling
in holes with my own imagination/past knowledge of the series.

As for the contravening of time rules, the absence of the Time Lords to
police such explains that (something I never thought of until the Tenth
Doctor saved Captain Brook and two other Bowie crew). I assume that the
Shadow Convention tries to cover such, but I reckon it a nigh impossibility,
given that no one has as intimate a knowledge of time as the Time Lords did.

I DO have to agree with you about the roles of women under Moffat. Seems as
though he's still trying to write the show as the kids' show it originally
was back in '63, when it's clearly for the grown-ups. Maybe someone will
troll this comment and improve on it. Here's hoping. (And I like Amy...
though that might be the Guy in me talking. Martin digs ginger chicks. [?])
