i don't know if it's necessarily that.. i read an interview with the guys
somewhere where they mentioned playing old stuff vs. new stuff at shows.
one of them said that playing the really old stuff was "like covering
your own songs," because they had to go back and try to remember how to
play them, and in some cases re-learn them. sometimes the new product is
quite a bit different from the old, case in point "in circles," off the
sub pop live album. lots of little differences. i don't know. what do you
guys think?
