[AI] London All ready for paralympics

2012-08-27 Thread Asudani, Rajesh
Not a single woman or VC from India!!! HAHAHA

The Hindu:
London all set for Paralympics
NEW DELHI, August 28, 2012
Special Correspondent

The British High Commissioner, Sir James Bevan, pointed at the slogan of the
official broadcaster Channel 4, 'Thanks for the warm up', to focus attention on
the Paralympics set to be inaugurated in London on Wednesday.

Talking to the media at his residence on Monday, he said that London was all
set to make the Paralympics a big success in the same manner as it did with
hosting the Olympics for the third time.

Wishing luck

Appreciating India's efforts in winning six medals including two silver medals
in the Olympics held in London from July 27 to August 12, Sir James Bevan,
wished success for the Indian Paralympics squad of 10 athletes, set to compete
in athletics, powerlifting, swimming and shooting. He remembered to highlight
that India had won two gold medals in the Paralympics in the past.

The Paralympics in London will feature about 4000 athletes, including 1500
women, from 150 countries. It was mentioned that the tickets had all been sold
out, for the first time in the 52-year history of the Paralympics, as Britain
showed "unprecedented interest''.

The High Commissioner said that Britain took great pride in the fact that it
was the birth place for the idea of Paralympics as early as in 1948 when it
hosted archery competition for British soldiers injured in the second World
War, long before the Paralympics was first held in Rome in 1960.

"They are not ordinary athletes. They are super human," said the High
Commissioner, as he stressed that the Paralympics would inspire a generation.

Serious

Suggesting that Britain took the Paralympics as seriously as the Olympics, the
High Commissioner said that London was proud of showcasing its past and would
deliver the Paralympics as successfully as it did with the Olympics.

He hoped that the young generation, the champions of the future, would get
inspired to pursue sports with intensity, on watching the Paralympics. nt

With thanks and regards

Because I am pretty sure that in past Google has worked on
accessibility for Chrome, and it has then started working with Jaws 13
and NVDA 2011. When I myself tried superficially just to see that it's
working, the menus and all was working fine, there was just a single
thing which I disliked that it had that pain sort of feature, so from
address and other navigation for anyone to go to web content, one had
to press F6 and sometimes with Jaws one had to refresh the screen
using Ins+esc. But rest of the things (at least the ones which I use)
were fine. In fact now after reading your discussion I just googled

Dear Bhawani

In principle Braille is an acceptable means to communicate for RTI. The same
would also ordinarily be applicable in states.

The issue, is we don't use RTI enough and keep giving excuses.

entertain application written on braille for seking primary information from

Re: [AI] Chrome and Internet Explorer

2012-08-27 Thread Amar Jain
@Bhawani Sir / Siddhi / Radha: Have you tried Chrome with Jaws 13?
Because I am pretty sure that in past Google has worked on
accessibility for Chrome, and it has then started working with Jaws 13
and NVDA 2011. When I myself tried superficially just to see that it's
working, the menus and all was working fine, there was just a single
thing which I disliked that it had that pain sort of feature, so from
address and other navigation for anyone to go to web content, one had
to press F6 and sometimes with Jaws one had to refresh the screen
using Ins+esc. But rest of the things (at least the ones which I use)
were fine. In fact now after reading your discussion I just googled
and found this keyboard shortcuts page, which I will hardly ever read
:) So, you may like to check:
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=157179

Hope that solves the concern.

What the Sighted will do is,
They will itlize the text, so that, the reader can easily understand

How a VI can do it?
What I mean is,
We can also bold the paragraph.
But, how to identify the difference between normal paragraph and

How to identify the difference between normal text and itlized text?
Is it possible to make any settings in JAWS?
Generally, if we activate JAWS cursor, there will be a difference in
the JAWS speech.
In the same way, if we bold the paragraph, is it possible to change
the pitch of JAWS, so that, we can identify the difference between the
normal paragraph and bolded paragraph?
I think I explained my doubt clearly.
So, folks, please tell me how to change JAWS settings.
My second doubt is,
How to identify superscript?
Suppose if I type, 1st rank,
St will be on the top. I mean we will use of option of superscript.
But, JAWS is not making any difference between normal text and the
text for which I applied the option of superscript.
So, how to know that there is superscript for a text?
I think everyone got my point.
I am using JAWS 13.
So, tell me how to make changes in JAWS settings?
Your help is highly appreciable.
Waiting for your reply.

Re: [AI] new doubt in excel

2012-08-27 Thread Zujar Shabbir Kanchwala
Use the Large() function of Excel. For example, the below formula
returns the 3rd largest number in the cell range A1:A10.

=LARGE(A1:A10, 3)

To get the 4th largest value in the cell range B1:B100, type the below formula:

=LARGE(B1:B100, 4)

The Small() function returns the specified smallest number in the
given array. For example, the below formula returns the 7th smallest
value in the range P201:P500.

=SMALL(P201:P500, 7)

Let me know if this helps or if you need more inputs.

[AI] new doubt in excel

2012-08-27 Thread Aravind Kumar
hai friends, as subject says, i have a doubt in excel in sorting.
in my bank, in chennai zone, there are 86 branches. we have to prepare a report
showing top5 performers in deposits advances etc.
if we sort manually, it will happen. but among 86 branches, there are divisions
like new branches, AGM branches etc which i should not disturb the order.
so i have to create a separate list showing top5 performers with maximum number.
so kindly anybody suggest me how to identify top5 big numbers using formulas? i
know we can use max function for getting topmost number. but i want second
third fourth and fifth also. if we use rank function, it will return the actual
rank only not the actual number or related amount. so please suggest me a good
way.

Under the Browsing section, make sure the following are not checked:

Hello,
NSR is available on OVI store as it is Nokia Screen Reader. Secondly, there

Hope this is helpful.

Re: [AI] Mockery of V.C Persons in Comedy Circus

2012-08-27 Thread Asudani, Rajesh
Dear Surendra
Firstly, I am not a big personality as you have alleged.
Secondly, the solution I propose is not as far fetched or unrealistic as you
and some others think.
Thirdly, nobody has yet given me a link to watch and have the videos concerned
audio described, or even has had the courage to describe the offending scenes
for the benefit of those who have not seen/heard it.
So, I am taking myself out of this debate and any action regarding the same for
the time being.

Hello all,
@Rajesh sir:I absolutely agree with you on the point of sending the
video clips. However, I wish we could have done so in real.

@Shriram:its correct that humour doesn’t question anyone’s dignity,
however, it makes the fun of disability and this has exactly has
happened this time!!!
It is the well established legal principal that intent is inferred
from the conduct and not from your mind or your thoughts.

Those who have seen the clip, know well that at the end, they realized
that something went a bit wrong and there is no need to take this act
seriously. Every criminal gives the justification of its crime

It is also absolutely correct that Legislation or court orders do not
bring about attitudinal change. It is social engagement that brings
about greater understanding and deeper appreciation of each other. It,
however, doesn’t mean that guilty should go unpunished.

As far my views are concern, no communication with soni TV and comedy
circus except defamation notice is required.

Thanks and regards,
Akhilesh.

Sir, what dignity you are talking about?
Is this right way to fun?
I have seen that act performed by Krishna.
 It must be condemned.
Will they dare to make fun of st sc and minority in such way?
 The answer is no.
 Then why on us?
Don't we know how to spend first night?
It's harmful to be always positive.
There will be many sighted persons will ask us about first night.
Then what will we answer them?
In short they have no right to perform such kind of shameless act.
 Thanks...
